Creation 2026

Synopsis

This piece is a solo choreographic work for public spaces. It questions the notion of resilience (perhaps even undermining it?) by staging a life journey. The aim here is to bring to life a woman, with her strengths and weaknesses, whose path we will follow. It will be a long journey. Where does she come from? Where is she going?

What if?

What if everything had happened differently?

Move forward.

Right or left?

The impact of the outside world. Of others.

Go with the flow? Go against the grain?

Our encounters.

Choose. Flee. Trace.

Slow down, sometimes, to know where to go.

Life passing by and time that never stops.

A space we claim in the middle of a crossroads,

a dance floor in an alleyway,

the fragility of a darkened spirit balancing against a wall,

the traces of our lives intertwining on the ground,

enamel basins filled with water in the middle of a square to wash our wounds.

Digging the furrow of this advance

in the early morning,

when the sun is at its zenith,

at nightfall.
